GUARDIOLA SUFFERING WORST RUN OF HIS MANAGERIAL CAREER

Pep Guardiola was without a win in five during his first season at Barcelona but his run at Manchester City is now six games after defeat at Old Trafford. Sadly, the Catalan is suffering his worst run of results in his entire managerial career.

Manchester City’s run of six games without victory – the latest a derby defeat at Old Trafford in the EFL Cup – is now one game longer than his previous longest barren run.

During his first season at Barcelona, the Catalan went five games without victory, a run of three draws and two defeats spanning February and March 2009. But Barcelona bounced back from that by winning seven games and claiming the treble at the end of the season.

Granted, Manchester City are still top of the Premier League table despite their poor recent run, but are now out of the EFL Cup.
They must win two of their remaining three Champion League group games.
Their next game is with Barcelona at Ethihad.
